Tanzania - Things Get Ugly
Nature photography isn't easy - it takes patience, persistence, expensive camera gear, and most important, the subject. Now add to that a moving Land Cruiser, a slippery seat to stand on, zero stabilization and the result isn't always as seen on TV. But there's no sense bemoaning lost shots because the experience of being with the Serengeti wildlife outweighs any grievances - dusty sensors and all. As for the so called 'Ugly 5'? Besides being a bit of cute tourism marketing, you be the judge.
